A privately owned Real-Estate Investment and Management firm with residential and commercial properties throughout Missouri.

We are offering a full time, on-site position with a reasonably flexible schedule, located at our headquarters office in St. Charles, MO. Future remote hybrid schedule possibility. This Staff Accountant position salary range is $58,000 up to $64,500 plus the opportunity to earn yearly bonuses. Propper Asset Management is looking for a talented detailed staff accountant to join our corporate team who will grow with the company and assist in shaping it's financial future.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining accounts receivable, posting monthly billing and supporting property managers
  • Maintaining accounts payable, ensure timely payment of invoices, confirm account coding, confirm validity of the debt and gather appropriate signatures
  • Prepare AP check run daily
  • Updating financial records via Yardi
  • Set up of New Vendors, with understanding of 1099's and COI's
  • Reconcile bank accounts each month
  • Analyzing financial statements and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with audit preparation for different required audits
  • Perform special projects and other department related duties as requested by the leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 3 years general accounting experience required
  • Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel and Word. Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, required
  • Knowledge of Real Estate, Property Management, and GAAP accounting principles and procedures
  • Yardi property management software experience preferred, or equivalent (ie. One Site, Entrata, or similar Property Management software) preferred
  • HUD financed projects accounting experience a plus
  • Must have professional communication skills, problem solving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Must be motivated and able to work with little supervision.

Must have a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and automobile insurance as required by the State of Missouri. Travel is primarily local during the business day.

This is role is located at the central office with some remote work flexibility. Lite lifting may be required from time to time. Standard / common physical demands within an office environment required, such as the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
